Andra Twerk

Hi

Welcome to the community of women open to unique experiences! Congratulations on your courage and I invite you to find out more about me and the journey you will embark on if you join us.

About Me

WHO AM I?

I am a twerk instructors with multiple dance festivals on the record (Latin Fest- Dubai, SummerTwerk Camp- Ibiza, Twerk Covention- Mexico etc.) and a teaching experience that covers both the online and face-to-face environment in different locations (Dubai, Spain, Mexico, Romania etc)

For me, dance is art therapy, shaping itself as one of the deepest expressions of human creativity. The dance style I went to is a sensual, feminine one, which highlights the shapes of all those who want to experience it. My desire is to help the woman feel free in her own body, to be connected to her self and to be charged with the feminine energy that can help her reach her sensual potential. I'll tell you more about the benefits of this dance experience here.

As I spent my childhood in Spain, I had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with girls from the Latino community, dancing salsa and bachata, developing from an early age my affinity for rhythms and musicality that shape my own roots. In the last 5 years I have traveled to countless countries, participating in countless international dance events, learning from the best teachers in the world. I focused on dances that focus on hip waving, so I evolved from salsa, bachata and kizomba to twerk and whine.

My mission goes beyond my obvious role as a dance teacher. I am here to bring to the whole world a feminine energy that has been denied to us for decades. A feminine energy to elevate my students to the status of women who are confident in their own body, sensual, mindfull and, above all, happy with the choices they make in life.

So I am waiting for you to discover our community, to learn to connect with your latent femininity and to become, through twerk, your best option!

FAQ

Twerk has become a popular dance style in recent years that is practiced all over the world, but not many people know its origins and benefits.

There are many articles on the internet that talk about the appearance of this dance thanks to Miley Cyrus who performed a few Twerk moves 10 years ago during a concert. This is how it came to be popularized, but the twerk existed long before 2013, it has its origins in Africa, more precisely in the Ivory Coast, under the name of the cultural dance "Mapouka".

Whine as a dance style is composed of multiple circular movements of the waist and pelvis. Its names vary by country: e.g. Caraibe - wine / whine, Congo - loketo.
You can see this style of dance today in both Caribbean (soca, dancehall) and African (Ndombolo, kwassa kwassa) culture. In African culture, these rotating movements are associated with the celebration of life. The rotation of the waist is similar to the rotation of the planets around the sun.

Here are some benefits. 👇🏼
1 - Many movements focus on isolating the pelvis, buttocks and pelvis. These movements help build muscle in these areas, muscles that are important to a woman.
2 - The dance itself is a way to remove the negative energies trapped in our body (eg energy in the hips stagnates when we sit for a long time in the chair)
3 - Toning your body, especially the lower body (buttocks, thighs)
4 - You improve your flexibility.
5 - Strengthen your back muscles, you can prevent / get rid of low back pain.
6 - You gain more confidence because you learn new ways to highlight your sensual, feminine energy.
7 - Many other benefits that you can only discover by trying a class 🙂 ❤️
